AbiWord is a cross-platform, open source, lean and fast full-featured word
processor. It works on Most Unix systems, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X.

More features are available through the use of plugins, which are
packaged separately. Also more import and export filters are
available by installing the abiword-plugin-impexp package.
Help files are available in a few languages which rae available as
for example abiword-doc-de.

Abiword with the GNOME front-end is part of the GNOME Office Suite.
